Here in New England, the daffodils have started to sprout, and the buds are budding on the trees – Spring really is here! We had a beautiful day here yesterday, and it put me in the mood to garden. But we didn’t have any flower bulbs. So instead, we will pretend!

Materials needed:

  • Plastic Colander
  • Wire-stemmed artificial flowers

Gather your materials, and get to work! This is a great activity to strengthen hands and improve visual-motor skills. If accuracy is too challenging, improvise with a floral foam block instead. This will take away the visual component but is a greater challenging for the fine motor strength.

Happy planting!
